Paying for books at the book fair, following a recipe, keeping score, and of course, sitting in classrooms, math is everywhere in a student's life. However, it is still a topic with which many students struggle, especially as it becomes more complex in the upper grades. I want to make math more visual and teach children the importance of deeply understanding math concepts. I am a 4th-grade classroom teacher, and I teach learners from different socio-economic backgrounds and with many different learning styles. They like interactive lessons that engage their minds as well as keep their hands busy. I teach at a diverse public school in Brooklyn, New York and we do not have all the resources that other charter or private schools might have. I want to provide my students with as many opportunities as possible to reinforce the math skills we teach. These math tools, such as Junior Number Line Activities, Fraction Model Multipliers, and Multiplication Visual Model Match-Ups, will be great hands-on learning for my students to take abstract mathematical concepts and connect them to visuals and real world contexts. The variety of materials will provide activities for students to do work with a partner, in a small group, and at teacher-led centers. These materials will not only continue to enhance our students' interest in and love of math, but they will also push them academically and encourage critical thinking skills. Students will partner up and use these materials as a study tool and at interactive centers. These donations will greatly improve learning in my classroom by providing differentiated, hands-on, and engaging math resources to all my students. With your help, I will incorporate these math tools into my instruction and be able to give my young learners a solid foundation for
