My project is about getting students excited about reading. I have worked very hard at incorporating Daily 5 and guided reading into my teaching. But, I realized something was still missing. I asked my students what I could do better. They were honest- "It's the books. You need more of a selection. You need current titles. You need a variety of reading levels". Those answers brought me here. My reading library needs some spicing up! Adding new series to my classroom library will change my students' view about reading. It will allow my students to read books at their reading level. This project is the missing link to my reading block.
