Exploring our world through our sense of touch leads to learning and retaining important information each and every day! The Exploring Earth Kit will allow my students to experience the world of earth science on a deeper more meaningful level than simply reading about it in a textbook. This kit will help facilitate equal access, along with appropriate, exciting, and memorable educational activities that focus on the earth, landforms, rocks and other areas of earth science that we cover in 5th-grade science. My students love to learn, they get excited when I pull out a hands-on activity and begin to pass around models of items they have previously only been able to imagine what it "might look like". Hands-on learning allows and encourages students to obtain a deeper and more meaningful understanding of their world.
