Our classroom of 34 kiddos is in need of a computer charging cart. A computer cart will help the class keep track of their own assigned computer, making sure it is put in the proper slot and plugged in. Students will be responsible for the upkeep of the cart, making sure it is always accessible, returned to our classroom, and locked for security so that the computers are charged and ready when students need them. Students feel a sense of ease knowing that the computer they use daily is safe and ready at their request. Our current access to charging our Chromebooks and laptops is provided by power cords that tangle and slip down under the counters. Housing them is time consuming and hard to keep track each one. The cart will keep the computers organized and will provide a way to quickly tell if one is missing or unplugged.
