The materials I chose for this project will be used to engage my students in play and creativity. The carpet will replace the old, dirty carpet that is currently in there. My students will be on this carpet for group time as well as play centers. I would love for them to have a nice clean carpet to play on. This is my first year Teaching and the classroom is missing many things, mostly toys and art supplies. The magnets will be used on a large magnetic board attached to the front of my desk and go along with the themes I will be using in my curriculum. The potato heads, puzzles and trains will be used for free time play. The barn I chose because I have farm animals that came with my classroom. My students will use the art materials many times throughout the year with the many projects we will create. The playdoh tools will be used to expand their fine motor skills. I chose all the storage bins to help organize everything, which is helpful when it's time to clean up. The doll cradle will be used in home living for the baby dolls and pretend play and social skills. The alphabet sounds tub and learning locks will be used to enhance sensory skills and literacy skills.
