My students struggle when they have not had enough to eat, or do not have the basic supplies to be successful in the classroom. By providing my 45 students the opportunity to have their basic needs met, they have the ability to embrace the world around them! Students who are full and prepared have a much easier time learning. They are willing to participate in the classroom and have a sense of belonging. By providing them healthy snacks to get them through the day, along with supplies to use in the classroom, they are being given a chance to be leaders of tomorrow.

About my class
