I teach Resource English to Junior High students in a low income school. My students have special needs. Learning in any specific content area is difficult especially when the ability to read is also an obstacle. These students are in the 7th and 8th grade and it is hard. Sometimes it is even embarrassing. They deserve a learning environment that reduces their anxiety and encourages success. This area will be designated to independent reading in a relaxing environment that accommodates learning. Flexible seating will allow them to sit comfortably and create a stress free atmosphere to challenge themselves to meet their reading goals.

About my class
