This subscription will provide real world, current articles that can be used to connect Civics ideas to current events. It will allow students to identify bias, break down news stories, analyze data connected to articles and write constructed responses based on sources. Upfront Magazine has differentiated articles that allow every student to succeed at LEAP skills. I will use these articles as an introduction into discussing political events, practicing the essential task of discussing current events while maintaining order and intelligence. Because our school is in a low socioeconomic area, asking the district for this academic resource is not feasible. Please help me get these students the academic resources they deserve.
