Exploring machinery through Legos will increase my students awareness of simple machines, and how they work. I would like to have a station within my classroom which will give students the opportunity to explore and create simple machines. This type of exploration is important for college and career readiness. It will offer a diverse activity for all levels of students, and help even struggling students to feel successful. Hands on activities increase a students ability to create, grow, explore, and challenge themselves. Will one of my students receive a patent for their invention? It is very possible! Give a child a chance to learn while playing.
