These chairs will be used for students working in small groups. In our classroom, all students receive small group instruction a minimum of two times per day. These chairs will heighten the students’ focus allowing them to receive the maximum benefit from targeted small group instruction. Studies have proven that, “Children who are more active exhibit better focus, faster cognitive processing, and more successful memory retention than kids who spend the day sitting still” (Education Week, 2014). Additionally, these chairs will be a wonderful way to motivate and encourage the students to learn and participate. I believe movement is essential to students development. Thank you for helping my kids get everything they need to be successful!
