The classroom carpet is a common meeting place for students and the teacher. Concepts are introduced and practiced. Stories are heard. Thinking takes place and thoughts are recorded. We can gather around something new and explore it together. It's that one special place where everyone feels welcome and everyone knows they have the opportunity to share and learn. The carpet is a home inside a classroom fostering learning and creativity. Community is so critical in developing confident, capable learners. By having a classroom carpet and easel, the students will have a chance to get out of their desks and come together to learn up close and personal!
