The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom and is something I remember using frequently when I was in school, especially during math. Currently, my classroom only has 1 stationary whiteboard which is very limiting because it doesn't provide enough space for notes and makes adjusting the classroom layout a pain. Having some 2-sided mobile whiteboards will allow me to better serve my students by providing additional space for classroom notes as well as a better, more convenient space for the classroom word-wall which is used to display key math terms from each lesson. These mobile whiteboards will also make it much easier to reorient the room during group-work while still having the whiteboard notes easily accessible for students. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase academic achievement. In addition to whiteboards, providing students with positive thoughts and reminders to look at during the course of this school year is imperative as many students struggle with motivation in school especially during math. These charts and motivational posters will not help to motivate and encourage students to try their best, but will also reinforce some important details about fractions, decimals, the order of operations, and math keywords throughout the school year.
