The goal is to strengthen the social emotional growth of my third grade students. I would like to purchase a collection of books that strengthen social emotional learning. The books will reinforce social emotional lessons taught in the classroom. The collection of books have relatable characters and topics for students to make connections. At times, students struggle with what their peers might be telling them. The books will help students make the best decisions. The books will engage students in the topics of respect, building relationships, managing self and friendship. My third graders will enjoy the books during the lesson and during their independent reading. Students will have the opportunity to take the books home to share with their family.
