When returning to school, students should feel like they have the appropriate supplies to support them with their academics. Simple equipment like pencils, calculators, and binders can go a long way for a student during the school year. In order for students to do their very best they cannot worry about school materials and supplies. The system that I have in place in my classroom using these materials allow our young people to become more successful and carry these organizational habits forward. Having these materials in class means that all of my scholars have the means to be prepared for class everyday. Binders will help them become organized and store their work daily. Pencils and pens will be for students that are unable to supply their own writing utensils. These step-by-step skills my scholars will develop will help them transition into college and adulthood with ease. In our Special Education class, we put a strong emphasis on staying organized. These organization skills would not be possible to acquire without the proper resources. Students in my class should not feel like a lack of school supplies will be a barrier to their education. By supporting my class, you will be providing my 9th graders with many tools to dive deeper into their learning.
