The iPads will assist our special needs students to develop the ability to communicate with family, teachers, and friends. Students will learn through symbols that go with words to increase literacy and communication. These students will finally be able to do homework, play games, communicate with students and teachers, and tell their mothers they love them. We always assume student competence. Applied lessons using the iPad will allow the student to read using symbols, turn math problems into real-life situations using specialized apps, and allow for more interactive learning. Overall, students with special needs learn better-using materials that they can manipulate (touch) see, and hear. They are more likely to absorb and internalize what they have learned using technology such as an iPad. Apple devices are the only interactive tablets that are specially designed for special needs users. They can support numerous individualized communication apps.
