Not every kid is able to come to school with all the supplies they need for the school day to run smoothly, and some school supplies we use so frequently that we run through them quickly! We use slates almost daily to show work and check for understanding. In small groups, partner pairs, for whole group instruction, and for review games! We also use interactive math notebooks on a daily basis and are always in need to glue sticks to glue in work, foldable, and other activities and references so that our notebooks are a growing anchor chart. Since we use the resources daily, having access to them allows all students to be able to access all of the content and opportunities to learn. To have materials ready for students and the ability to supply them with basic items like a pencil really puts students at ease and creates a more enjoyable and productive learning environment for all!
