As a 7th grade reading teacher, it is crucial that I provide pleasurable literature for the students to read during specialized time in class, as well as at home. I have a few books from my own collection, but I don't have nearly enough for 130 students. I need all the help I can get to inspire my students to ask questions about the world around them, and this is best accomplished through reading. By providing grade appropriate novels to my students, they will have opportunities to enhance their own reading, analytical, and comprehension abilities. It is my goal for each student to read at least one book for pleasure each semester. They live adult lives at home, and I want them to be able to escape into a perfect literary world.
