My Kindergarten learners have little hands and BIG minds. They are very diverse in their learning needs. It is up to me to teach in a way that can help them reach their full academic potential. I am asking for tablets to enrich their learning environment during our school day. They currently do not have access to the use of tablets in our small but growing school. With their little hands and big minds, tablets would give them the opportunity to access many educational tools needed to be successful lifelong learners. I will be installing many educational applications such as RAZ kids, I-ready, Scholastic, Brain Pop Jr, Epic books, and many more. The goal of my project is to use the tablets for small group instruction that can be geared toward their unique educational needs. I will also be using these tablets for individual instruction through the use of OSMO. The OSMO will enable children to think critically while working individually at a special area of my class. The OSMO will give some of my special needs students the opportunity to work closely with another teacher to ensure they are successful in problem solving. This use of this technology will bring a very valuable tool to greatly enrich their learning environment.
