Students enjoy inquiring about the world around them. Students will have opportunities to explore books (and they love to read!), investigate through hands-on learning, share their insights, and be innovative in their exploration. Since we are an IB school, students will explore a topic to make a difference. This is called their PYP project. By providing these materials, students will have resources available to them in the classroom along with creating a learning environment that they can embellish in to enjoy learning that has a “comfy” feel. Students in my class have many different interests and the materials for this project will allow them to investigate and be innovative in their inquiry while fostering their love for reading through nonfiction texts.
