Writing is one of the most important concepts we learn about in kindergarten. Reviewing our letter sounds and names is part of our daily routine. With this easel I as well as my students will be able to take our reading and writing to the next level. Students will be able to watch as I directly teach writing and print concepts. Students will also be able to actively participate during these lessons. Right now it is very difficult to create anchor charts to help facilitate learning. With this easel we will have the ability to create anchor charts together as a class and decorate our room with them to refer back to when needed. Students learn through modeling and with this easel, I will hopefully be able to better meet their needs. My students will be able to clearly see as I demonstrate new skills during whole group which in turn will increase their engagement. I am ecstatic for this project and know this is something my students are in desperate need of.
