Getting a color printer will help me create individualized materials for each of our students. Our students learn best when the materials they use are as realistic as possible since black and white images can be hard to identify. Colored printing gives me more opportunities for adapting and creating personalized assignments. We will be able to use the colored printer for behavior supports, activities, task boxes, and materials that will support individual goals. It will also allow my students to build a more accurate idea of what real life objects look like. This is especially true for things like trains, trees, and stores. I cannot bring those items into the classroom, but I can help teach them even more with color pictures!
