A GoTalk is an effective and easy-to-use device to help minimally verbal students learn to communicate. Many of the preschoolers I work with are emerging communicators with no or very little speech. They require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems in order to communicate with the world around them. A GoTalk is a wonderful AAC device that gives early language learners a way to communicate. A student can use a GoTalk to greet "good morning!" to a friend, request "more" while blowing bubbles, and comment "yucky" while eating a less preferred food during snack time. The buttons on the GoTalk can be changed to go along with various activities in the speech room as well as in the classroom.
