Sitting at a desk in an uncomfortable chair is quickly becoming past standard. When kids can choose comfort and flexibility, they're more engaged and focused. I've started with a few basics, but hope to offer a bit more variety with your help. Sitting in an inviting area for small group instruction will help my students feel comfortable, which makes them happier to be in a classroom that becomes a home away from home. I've seen teachers discuss the value in flexible seating and how much students respond to the classroom configuration. I'd appreciate help in giving that experience to my students.
