I truly believe that these materials will help make a difference in my students learning simply because I work in the CTE department, which is career and technical education. It is my job to prepare my students for college or career, depending on the path that they choose. In the past, I have been teaching my students how important work ethic truly. With these items such as the punch clock and money, I am wanting to teach my students how important it is to come to school/work on time. I also plan to teach them how to manage their money on a bi-weekly pay scale. Having them actually experience why we do the things that we do and why we enforce the rules that we do such as dress code, tardies, work ethic and professionalism with help them understand. I truly believe that having students actually participate in real life examples will help better them for the future and will help them become motivated and prepared for the real world rather than being afraid of what the future might hold.
