When students have the option of flex seating they can own their space and be more relaxed and comfortable to learn. Flex seating also allows me to arrange my classroom in an inviting, non intimidating manner where students will want to be. I will get to be more personable with my students as well. Not only will flex seating create a safe feeling environment for all my students, it will advantageously help those with ADHD. Students will be ready to participate in hands on lessons and during independent and guided math station activities. With increased active learning, retention of material needed to build upon in the future will skyrocket!
