My goal is to create a vibrant classroom environment that encourages ideas, creativity, intrinsic motivation, and positivity. Most items presented are intended to allow the scholars to express their creativity and gain comfort in mathematics. One example is through the use of the flex space cushions scholars will be allowed flexible seating giving them comfort while learning. Also, through the use of colored pencils and markers scholars who like to express themselves through drawing/coloring will also have the opportunity to do so encouraging differentation. I also want to show my scholars math can be fun! Through the use of buzzers and white boards, we will play various engaging games such as bingo and Jeopardy! Through these materials scholars will gain new confidence and excitement for math allowing them to be self-motivated learners!
