Guided reading groups are the meat and potatoes of a balanced literacy classroom and we all know how active our Littles can be. By using a horseshoe shape table and some wobble chairs it allows for some flexibility and movement during our very limited time together. The cut out of the table allows me to get closer to my students and guide them in their reading activities with a more hands-on approach and ultimately help the children be more successful in their learning. The wobble chairs will allow the active child to have some movement and still be safe while they are engaged in their learning.
