My students will be given the opportunity to become Artist as they create, draw and paint their lil hearts out. They will be given the chance to sit comfortably on a clean classroom rug to enjoy a good book from our classroom library. (Our class does not have one. ) Reading a good book in a comfy place brings peace and enjoyment no matter the age of the child. Reading is good for the mind, heart, and soul. The Science kits will allow my students to become active participants in their learning as they become Scientist for the first time in a classroom setting. The Legos will give my students the opportunity to see themselves as Architects, who have the potential and ability to build and use their imagination to create what their minds and hearts desire. All the materials requested will allow my students the opportunity to experience an unforgettable and enriching First Grade Year! I teach in a Title I School where resources and funding are very limited. My students are English Language Learners. My goal is to provide as many positive learning experiences because I strongly believe that is the key for them to experience and achieve academic success.
