Darcy Pattison has written a variety of stories and books, both fiction and nonfiction. She has experience across many genres and styles. For this project, she will meet with my students to discuss persuasive writing, which is our state tested writing style. Mrs. Pattison will look at my students' writing and provide personal feedback and guidance to help them become better writers. Her expertise will give my students the boost they need to find the writers in themselves. Mrs. Pattison has written a book set called "I Want A Dog" and "I Want a Cat". My students will complete a persuasive writing assignment about which is better, a cat or a dog. The collaboration of her texts, my students' research, and her knowledge as an author will help improve my students' writing abilities both in and out of the classroom.
