Students that have disabilities in reading often avoid doing it at all costs. The books that are on their reading level are often written for younger children and are not of interest for teenagers. I am building a High Interest/Lower Reading Level Library to change this. These books are written at a low frustration level, but are about things that the kids can get excited about. The books also look like the ones their typical peers would read, so that they do not feel embarrassed about reading them. I have ordered several sets so that we can read in small groups and participate in book clubs. Please help me get these kids excited about reading!
