Students love to be able to make a choice as to where they will sit during independent work, small group work, and silent reading time. In the past, my students have chosen to sit at different tables on stools or wobble stools, or they use clipboards and sit or lay on the floor around the classroom. Allowing them to have the opportunity to choose where they work gives them just another piece of ownership and motivation in their learning. I want my students to have every opportunity to be engaged in their work or book, and this is a simple, yet effective, way to help accomplish that goal. By donating to our project, you'll be helping me give my students more choices for seating during their day, allowing them to take charge of their learning. The bean bag chairs and floor cushions I have chosen are comfortable and lightweight seating options that will be easily moved from place to place throughout the day. I know that something so simple as these different seating choices are going to make ​more fun and relaxed classroom setting where my students will thrive!
