Having a 1:1 ratio for photography would open the door for infinite possibilities for our students. Currently students share both cameras and computers. This often means it takes twice as long to complete assignments which ultimately means students have access to half the material of a typical class. Having a 1:1 ratio would mean students would inevitably become more proficient with the subject matter (cameras and Photoshop) and would be able to drive deeper into the material. Currently we are only able to scratch the surface of the camera and Photoshop's capabilities. Photography is becoming increasingly more relevant for students and the future of our culture. Giving them this opportunity would enable the program to really reach that next level of proficiency and for students to excel in photography both in and beyond schooling.
