Every year, more than 350,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating without any warning. In the agonizing moments before paramedics arrive, there's no blood circulating in the body to deliver oxygen to the brain and other organs and death is just minutes away. The requested CPR infant manikins will allow my students to receive hands-on practice in proving life-saving bystander CPR. If you have a pulse you have a purpose is often a phrase I recite to my students. This is my philosophy for teaching live saving first aid and CPR skills. It is a skill I feel everyone should know. I often tell my students their purpose on earth might be to save the life of someone else. The more individuals we train in live saving CPR and first aid skills, the greater someones chances of survival, due to cardiac arrest are, outside of a hospital setting. It is my goal to train as many students as I possibly can so we can increase the number of people who are trained and know what to do in a true emergency situation.
