These ukuleles will enhance my students' musicianship by helping them master a universal instrument that many of my students have never gotten a chance to learn or even see before. The flexibility and size of the ukulele will allow my students from prekindergarten through fourth grade to have an instrument that they are able to play. Playing the ukulele can open up many doors for them as musicians, and can help them learn to play and read musical notes. By learning how to play and read music, my students will be able to transfer that skill over to other musical instruments. The ukuleles will be used in my weekly music classes with all of prekindergarten through fourth grade. By donating to this project, my students will be able to experience music is a different way than they have before.
