The Outsiders and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas would be amazing gifts for my special education resource reading class and a gift that fosters learning. I believe that every student needs to have a book in their hand and be able to read at their own pace. It will give more class time to focus on comprehension with out everyone passing a book around, losing spot, along with stopping and starting and losing concentration. With books for everyone, they will become better readers, confident readers and feel special. It would be wonderful gift so students do not have to share with a neighbor.
