This project will make a difference in student learning because it supports students during instruction and during flexible seating time! This project allows students the choice to move around their classroom and find a space at the carpet to sit and do their work. It will allow students to partner up or work in groups or work independently. I've also added one set of books! We are in need of building our class library, as we have no books in this new room yet! It is essential for learners to be able to find the space that works best for students’ own learning. We spend a large amount of our day at the carpet, I want to provide the option of where students choose to sit during their own time! A carpet will support the students all year long. Students will learn at the carpet, interact at the carpet and choose to spend their time free time here. This is the ideal project because students will be able to take a seating circle and new book and begin exploring immediately!
