My goal is to grow my classroom library so I can let my students sustain their reading momentum at night and on the weekends. My library needs more nonfiction and award winning literature. With more biographies and rich literature, I will provide materials through which these kids will find support for their own dreams. My students will be able to self-select a book or magazine every week to keep in their backpack so they are never without an opportunity to read. Plus, they will not worry about the stigma associated with having to admit they do not have anything to read.
