Wobble chairs allow students to stay calm, focused and productive throughout the daily lessons. Many students come into the classroom with stored energy needing to be released. This type of seating gives students an outlet to wiggle and wobble some of that energy away...with minimal distractions. Our friends who are extra active will greatly benefit as they need the constant movement in order to be productive. Wobble seats will be able to reduce the amount of stationary time, increasing the amount of time and effort on a given task. One teacher said it best, "Comfortable students are engaged students!" I am looking to create a comfortable learning space where students make seating choices for the betterment of their learning style. Even adults need to be comfy to be successful! I have seen how alternative seating can positively affect student engagement, motivation and overall behavior.
