The items I am requesting will help my students have the best learning environment possible. Many of my students come from struggling families where they may not have the most comfortable and enjoyable personal spaces. I want to make my classroom comfortable and organized so that students can take pride in their classroom and look forward to coming to school to enjoy their space and THEIR classroom every day. I want students to feel that they are welcomed and that their needs are put first in regards to how they learn. Not all students learn in the same way. Not all students can sit and be comfortable and focused at a traditional desk. Not all students can absorb information just by reading and writing. Students need hands-on interactive play and experiences, and I tend to give my students all of the opportunities to succeed that I can while they are MY children.
