My students are very energetic and are more productive when they have the flexibility to choose where they will sit and work. I would like to provide them with a central place we can meet daily (the alphabet rug). Instead of expecting my students to sit in a metal chair for majority of the day, I would like to provide them with flexible seating. This project will allow the students to be comfortable and choose where they want to work. It can be at a regular desk with a wiggle cushion, working on a rug, or using the sit and learn lap desk. This desk allows students to sit on the floor but still have a stable surface to write on. By allowing students a flexible seating choice, they will be more comfortable and produce their best work. Thank you for supporting my students and giving them the opportunity to be successful in first grade!
