Part of the Leadership class I teacher deals with creating both a Portfolio and Exhibition project that all students are required to present and defend in order to graduate. Their Portfolio is a reflection of their personal development in our 4 School Wide Outcomes (SWO's): Communication, Critical Thinking, Personal Responsibility, and Social Responsibility. Our Exhibition project is a chance for students to identify, research, and create an action plan for something that they want to change in their community. Through the use of these Chromebooks students will be able to research and explore the ways that they can affect change in the communities that they live in. These Chromebooks will also be used to improve their technological literacy in preparation for their College journey. In my class students will use Chromebooks to do the follow: - Create a Resume/ Cover letter for a job - Create a 25-30 page Portfolio of their work and growth in High School - Research and Create a Presentation on a problem they have identified in their community, as well as an action plan to solve it. - Interact in a blended classroom environment where much of the work in class is created and submitted digitally to prepare them for college.
