This will help my students build confidence and learn the power of choice in their reading abilities by what book they want and will read during daily independent reading. They'll learn text-structure through bi-weekly book discussions that they'll share in small group or whole group settings. They'll learn fluency, vocabulary, and written narrative through various group activities involving anchor charts, graphic organizers, hands on art projects, journal writting, and readers theater. I'm hoping by allowing the students the time and tools, they will grow into having a love of reading like I have. The time has come to Quest for Reading!!

About my class
