Teaching 1st grade babies entails teaching little minds that require movement, engagement, and excitement to keep them intrigued. On top of teaching engaging lessons for their little minds, I believe they will thrive in the classroom with flexible seating that allows them to move around and gives them the freedom to switch up their types of seating from stool to cushion or rocker, etc. As my students move from transition to transition such as from whole group, small group, seat work, to hands-on, their minds will be stimulated with activities along with a variety of comfortable, movable, and exciting seating arrangements. I would love to be able to have the funds to make flexible seating possible in our classroom for not only this school year but many more to come!
