Science is an experience! Too often however, I am unable to give my students real world, hands-on practice with the concepts I teach. This year I aim to change that, starting with our butterfly project. My students will be tested on the life cycles of animals such as butterflies and both flowering as well as, non-flowering plants by the State of Florida. I need your help to create meaningful experiences with these concepts in person instead of just through text. I added magnetic representations to display in my classroom and a model of the solar system because I will need to foster knowledge of the planets as I know it. Lets ignite their spark for learning together! I humbly solicit your help in purchasing a butterfly habitat, eggs, plants, food, and instructional materials.
