Research shows that students who are not reading on grade level by the end of third grade have a decreased chance in graduating from high school. I teach at a Title I school with 94% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. My students rely on the school for many things, including excellent reading materials. I chose books that are of interest to my students as well as books that are strong quality. I want my students to have choice so they can enjoy what they are reading, while becoming stronger readers. I hope to provide my students with more variety in their classroom library so that I can reach all my learners. I appreciate you taking the time to look into my project and thank you for your support in helping teachers provide for their classrooms!
