This class set of book will be used to help my students reach their literacy goals. My goal of using this book is to help the students learn about an important part of history along with literacy skills to help enrich their reading. My students will be able to each have their own copy of this book allowing them to read wit me instead of just listening to the words I’m reading, encouraging them to be active readers and engaging them along the way. I am hoping that by having enough books for each student to have their own copy, the students will be able to follow along better and see for themselves specific words or phrases the author uses to get his purpose across as well as point of view.
