With the absence of windows, there is no way to circulate air properly. This is a particular concern in the midst of a global pandemic. Installing a HEPA air filtration system can keep my first graders healthier longer and ensure their ability to continue learning with me in my classroom. In a recent article from abcNEWS, it says that “Experts agree that the most practical method as of right now for small businesses and homeowners is high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration systems. HEPA filters, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, can theoretically remove at least 99.97% of particles as small as .3 microns.” With figures like this one, I feel it is absolutely necessary to protect my sweet first graders by acquiring a HEPA air filtration system.
