These materials will help my students learn in an engaging way. The literacy games will provide fun, educational activities for students to utilize during reading centers, free time, and beyond. When students are excited about an activity, they are more likely to be engaged and learning. These games will help contribute to a fun and positive classroom community. Technology in the classroom is becoming a necessity to enhance the engagement of students. The document camera will be used to help students have a clear image of whatever skill I might be modeling or teaching. Having a quick, visual way to display useful information will help enhance everyday mini-lessons in all subjects. Finally, the screens will be used when learning and practicing sight words (or "red" words). Students can put the screen under a piece of paper and, with crayon, they will write the word(s). This will create "bumps", allowing for a tactile experience.
