This project helps 27, 4th graders by providing them with new options for seating! We have decided to do flexible seating this year. Flexible seating provides the students with fun choices of seating and ways for them to bounce, rock, and wiggle while actively engaging their minds in learning. The seating in this project offers the students a variety of seating arrangements. The bouncy balls will allow the students to bounce up and down while staying focused on their assignment. A part of flexible seating is allowing the students to sit wherever. Therefore, the floor is a great option! I'm looking to get floor cushions for the students who just want to work on the floor. Because of the variety in our classroom, storage containers and clipboards are needed to help accomplish the feel in our room. I am not going to have a desk, so a file cart will benefit me with my organization.
