Building a classroom library this year left us short on some basic school supplies. Three things we can NEVER have enough of: 1. Pencils 2. Kleenex 3. Bandaids. That being said, I also feel there is a misconception on supplies that are necessary at the secondary level. Sure, the kids are older but their need for exploration, discovery, and artistic expression doesn’t change. Why do back to school lists stop after the middle school grades? I am often left funding my own markers, coloring pencils, glue sticks, etc. These supplies help me to incorporate a more creative learning environment for the secondary level age group.
